About Me

Dr. Melanie Kressel works with both emerging adults and adults. She approaches her work from an integrative psychodynamic relational framework, valuing the collaborative nature of relationships in order to build trust, understanding, and flexibility. She believes that a strong therapeutic alliance is essential for fostering healing and growth, allowing for personalized treatment that addresses each client's needs. She is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment to explore client’s unique thoughts and feelings.

Clinical Training

Dr. Kressel earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, her MHC in Mental Health Counseling, as well as her BS in Applied Psychology from New York University’s Steinhardt School. Her extensive experiences working in a variety of settings has informed her practice and ability to work with diverse patient populations and concerns.
